Derby Diocesan Academy Trust (DDAT) is a Multi Academy Trust that comprises of thirty-three schools, including primary, infant, junior, secondary, sixth form and nursery provision, across Derbyshire and within Derby City. Responsibilities

As the leader of Hardwick Primary School, the Headteacher will play a pivotal role in the next stage of the Trust's development. The key responsibilities include:

  • Providing strategic leadership for the school and embedding the Trust's vision into the school.
  • Ensuring a balanced and broadly-based education that enables all students to discover their strengths and maximize their talents.
  • Promoting respect for individuality, teamwork, and the contribution each student makes to the school and local community.
  • Securing and sustaining excellence in safeguarding students' health and wellbeing.
  • Embedding the ethos of the school as a Community school with an inclusive and supportive culture that welcomes, values and nurtures all students regardless of background and faith.
  • Developing the school's value-added curriculum to establish a centre of excellence in the focus subjects and leverage whole-school performance.
  • Achieving Ofsted inspection judgements that reflect the school's ambition to be a beacon of excellence.
  • Acting as a successful community hub, including appropriate use of school facilities by community groups and promoting community cohesion.
