Job Purpose Banijay UK is expanding its in-house post-production capabilities through the newly formed department named B Post - supporting productions across a range of labels across the UK.This role of regional Head of Technical Operations plays a critical role in London, while also being part of the wider Banijay UK Post team.You will oversee all technical operations of post-production in your region, ensuring seamless delivery, workflow efficiency, and technical excellence. You will play a key role in collaborating with Banijay's wider UK technical team, ensuring alignment across multiple sites and contributing to company-wide initiatives.This role requires expertise in media, post-production, and broadcast technologies, combined with strong management skills to oversee technical teams, workflows, and infrastructure. You will be responsible for on-prem and remote edit environments, designing and managing post workflows, maintaining security and compliance, and ensuring efficient media management. There will also be heavy involvement in running the inhouse podcast studio and experimenting with new technologies and approaches.Being part of a small, start up environment, this role will also require hands-on support with the team, supporting edits and productions as needed. Duties Oversee and manage post-production operations in London, ensuring technical efficiency and seamless day-to-day running. Lead a high-performing technical team , supporting productions across various content types. Troubleshoot and maintain on-prem and remote editing environments , ensuring a smooth workflow for editorial teams. Provide hands-on technical support , including online editing, grading, and QC work when necessary. Ensure workflow consistency and best practices , aligning with Banijay's UK-wide post-production strategy. Support producers, editors, and finishing artists with expert technical solutions to meet creative and scheduling demands. Oversee media management, storage, and delivery workflows , ensuring compliance with security and content protection policies. Manage and maintain third-party suppliers , ensuring high service standards and cost efficiency. Understand and work to departmental budget and capital expenditures , ensuring cost-effective resource allocation. Contribute insights and feedback on new technologies, workflows, and innovations. Support the testing and implementation of new technology by providing regional feedback and assisting with adoption where applicable. Collaborate with other Technical Leads across the UK (London, Glasgow, and beyond) to align workflows and maximize Banijay's shared resources. Participate in UK-wide post-production strategy discussions , ensuring technical operations in London align with broader company goals. Knowledge & Skills Technical leadership experience in a post-production environment. Strong understanding and hands-on experience of unscripted post-production workflows, delivery specifications to a range of UK broadcasters and streamers, and media management across a range of formats. Proficiency in industry-standard tools, including: Avid Media Composer DaVinci Resolve ProTools Collaborator and team player to contribute to the wider Banijay UK success. Ability to manage complex, fast-paced workflows while troubleshooting technical issues efficiently. Strong people management skills with experience leading technical teams. Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. Strategic thinking with a focus on operational efficiency, scalability, and continuous improvement. Proven knowledge of cloud-based workflows is desirable but not essential.
