As part of our continued growth, we are looking for an experienced and hands on Head of Projects to establish and lead a Project Management Office (PMO) within Active Silicon.

Location: Langley, UK (Elizabeth Line, just outside NW London), hybrid working options available.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 26 days annual holiday (plus public holidays).
Salary: Competitive salary depending on skills and experience, plus salary sacrifice pension (5% employer, 3% employee) and discretionary bonus scheme worth up to 20% of salary. Life assurance at 4 basic salary. Option to join Electric Vehicle salary sacrifice scheme.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced and hands on Head of Projects to establish and lead a PMO within Active Silicon.

Reporting to the Head of Engineering, you will be responsible for the planning, execution, and successful delivery of engineering projects across the business. You will introduce best practice project management methodologies, oversee project delivery, and support the development of project elements within our evolving ERP systems.

Working closely with engineering teams, leadership, and key stakeholders, you will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and lead a PMO framework and project governance structure
• Define project scope, plans, and deliverables from initiation to completion
• Lead and support project managers and cross functional teams
• Manage project budgets, forecasting, and resource allocation
• Identify and mitigate project risks while maintaining quality standards
• Communicate progress, milestones, and risks to stakeholders
• Implement and improve project management methodologies and processes

About you - Skills and Experience

• Proven experience leading complex cross functional projects
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
• Experience managing budgets, forecasting, and project financials
• Knowledge of project methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid
• Proficiency with project tools such as MS Project, Jira, or Microsoft 365
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Experience with Microsoft Business Central or Dynamics 365 Project Operations
• Degree in Engineering, Science, or related discipline
