Head of Product Design
Posted 1 hour 46 minutes ago by Bridebook Limited
Bridebook is a SaaS and Marketplace scale-up business revolutionising the wedding industry. We are proud to be the UK's number one wedding planning app and the ONLY global provider! Our mission is to make the wedding planning journey as happy as possible for engaged couples everywhere!
With over 90% of the world's 7.5bn population expected to get married in their lifetime, the wedding industry is massive. It is 50% larger than the global taxi and food delivery markets combined, yet it sadly lags in digitalisation and lacks solutions for the modern day needs of both couples and businesses.
So here's Bridebook, set to disrupt the wedding industry
Our innovative platform is designed to make wedding planning effortless and stress free. From personalised wedding checklists, budget management tools, a vast selection of venues and suppliers, and endless inspiration - you can access it all at your fingertips, on your mobile device! After recently becoming the first app of its kind to launch globally, Bridebook now enables couples to plan destination weddings anywhere in the world. This exciting expansion makes it a truly fantastic time to join us on our journey!
Our team is made up of talented creative, analytical, and tech focused minds! We've collaborated with some fantastic partners including the Natural History Museum, Hilton, the Ritz, Etsy and Jimmy Choo, and have been featured 12 times on the App Store as well as being rated the number 1 app by Apple. Our investors are well known for supporting some previous successful unicorns such as Airbnb, Pinterest, Skyscanner and Tesla.
What will I be doing? We're looking for a Head of Product Design to establish a user centred design culture and build a scalable design system that enables every squad to create intuitive, consistent, and delightful experiences for couples and vendors.
You will define Bridebook's design vision and strategy, translating deep customer insight and data into exceptional product experiences. As a senior leader, you will empower a high performing, design led organisation to ship, learn, and iterate quickly - raising the bar for craft, collaboration, and commercial impact.
Specific responsibilities will include:- Defining the company's design vision, principles, and multi quarter roadmap aligned to product and brand goals.
- Building and evolving a unified, scalable design system (components, tokens, and guidelines) across app, mobile web, and desktop.
- Championing accessibility, design quality standards, and a mobile first mindset across all surfaces.
- Establishing rigorous discovery practices including interviews, usability testing, surveys, and analytics.
- Running A/B and multivariate experiments, translating results into clear iterations and product decisions.
- Advocating for data informed design, balancing qualitative depth with quantitative evidence.
- Leading, mentoring, and growing a high performing design team, setting clear craft expectations and creating rituals that raise the bar.
- Identifying and implementing best in class tools and technologies to improve speed and quality.
- Embedding a collaborative, user centred culture that celebrates learning and continuous improvement.
- Partnering closely with Product Managers and Engineers to frame problems, scope solutions, and balance user value, feasibility, and commercial impact.
- Driving efficient planning and delivery cadences (goals, crits, reviews) to improve predictability and velocity.
- Upholding streamlined processes and documentation that meet Bridebook level standards.
- Acting as a thought leader within the senior team, aligning design strategy with company goals.
- Communicating progress, risks, and trade offs clearly to stakeholders.
- Elevating Bridebook's product experience to become a recognisable, reference product and brand in our industry.
- Has significant experience leading Product Design within a digital consumer app or marketplace environment.
- Has built and scaled design systems across multiple platforms (mobile, web, desktop).
- Is deeply user focused and insight driven, balancing qualitative research with strong analytical rigour.
- Has a strong track record of running experimentation (A/B testing, usability testing, iteration cycles).
- Is an exceptional people leader and coach, with experience hiring, mentoring, and developing designers.
- Is a strategic systems thinker who can connect long term vision to day to day execution.
- Is highly collaborative and experienced working cross functionally with Product, Engineering, and Commercial teams.
- Communicates clearly and persuasively with senior stakeholders.
- Has a strong bias to action - pragmatic, iterative, and outcome oriented.
