Job Description
What we're looking for

We are looking for a Head of Pre Sales and Implementations to join Yapily. This is a senior, dual focus role sitting at the intersection of Sales and Delivery. You will lead a team of Implementation Engineers while also owning the Pre Sales function, working directly with prospective and existing clients to demonstrate Yapily's value and bring them successfully onto the platform.

You have done this before. You have personally managed complex API or fintech implementations, and you bring that hands on experience into both the team you lead and the large accounts you will be directly involved in delivering. You know what good looks like at every stage, from the first technical conversation with a prospect through to go live.

Internally, you will be a key connector between Sales, Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and Support. You set the standard for how Yapily delivers, and you work to raise that standard continuously.

Team Leadership
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Implementation Engineers, setting clear expectations and supporting their growth
  • Build a high performing team culture focused on delivery quality, client outcomes, and continuous improvement
  • Manage workload distribution across the team, ensuring the right resource is applied to the right accounts
  • Define and iterate on implementation processes, tooling, and documentation to improve consistency and efficiency
Client Implementations
  • Take a direct, hands on role in the implementation of large or strategically important accounts
  • Own the end to end delivery lifecycle for complex implementations, from scoping and onboarding through to go live and handover
  • Ensure implementations are delivered on time, to scope, and to a high standard of technical quality
  • Identify risks early and manage them proactively, keeping clients and internal stakeholders informed throughout
Pre Sales
  • Own the Pre Sales function and its strategy, working closely with the Sales team on how Yapily positions its implementation capability
  • Lead or support technical presentations, product demonstrations, and solution design conversations with prospective clients
  • Own RFP and RFI responses, coordinating input from Product, Engineering, and Commercial to produce accurate, high quality submissions
  • Act as the technical authority during the sales process, building credibility with both technical and commercial stakeholders on the client side
  • Feed insights from Pre Sales back into product and delivery strategy, identifying recurring questions, gaps, or friction points
Internal Collaboration
  • Work closely with Product and Engineering to influence the implementation experience, feeding client and delivery insight into the product roadmap
  • Partner with Customer Success and Support on client handovers, ensuring a smooth transition from implementation to BAU and a consistent experience throughout the customer lifecycle
  • Collaborate with Sales on pipeline, account planning, and deal strategy, particularly for complex or enterprise opportunities
  • Represent the implementation function in cross functional forums, contributing to broader strategy and planning conversations
Qualifications
  • Proven experience leading an implementation or solutions engineering team in a SaaS or fintech environment
  • A track record of personally managing complex, API based implementations; you have done the job, not just managed people who have
  • Experience owning or contributing to a Pre Sales function, including RFP responses and technical sales support
  • Strong understanding of Open Banking, APIs, and financial technology; you can engage credibly with technical and non technical audiences alike
  • Experience working cross functionally with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Customer Success teams
  • Commercially minded; you understand how implementation quality affects retention, expansion, and client satisfaction
  • Clear, confident communicator who can represent Yapily in front of C suite and technical stakeholders
  • Highly organized with strong project management instincts; able to manage multiple complex deliveries in parallel
  • Calm under pressure and comfortable making decisions with incomplete information
  • High attention to detail and quality, in the work you produce and the standards you set for your team
  • Entrepreneurial approach; in a scaling business, you are as comfortable building new processes as running existing ones
