Head of Physical Education Required for School in Greenwich

An expanding school in Greenwich is looking for an inspiring Head of Physical Education for a permanent post starting in September 2024. This position would suit either an experienced Head of Department or an experienced PE Teacher looking to take on their first Head of Department role. About the role

This is a full-time, permanent role in which you will be responsible for leading a team of PE Teachers to deliver exceptional lessons to a range of ages and abilities. You will also be responsible for delivering CPD, and developing the PE curriculum across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5.

The school offers all Head of Department's CPD time on their timetable where you will receive one on one training with an external Leader who will support you in your progression path. The school caters to a cohort of vulnerable young people in South East London and are looking for someone who can lead and inspire their PE department.

The ideal candidate

• Extensive experience teaching PE at Key Stage 3 and GCSE

• Experience teaching pupils with challenging behaviour

• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
