Head of New Business - Growth & Innovation Consultancy - London/Remote

About the Role

This is an exceptional opportunity for a strategic business development professional to shape and lead the new business function. You'll work directly with the founders to define and deliver a structured approach to winning new multinational clients - focusing on quality over quantity.

The role is designed for someone who thrives in a lean, entrepreneurial environment and enjoys building new pipelines from the ground up. You'll focus on identifying, qualifying, and converting major opportunities that align with the consultancy's three-year growth plan.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with leadership to define and target high-value prospects aligned with business strategy
  • Lead outbound new business efforts - from lead generation and qualification to deal conversion
  • Build and manage a structured database and CRM process to support a rigorous sales pipeline
  • Track and analyse pipeline performance, identifying areas for optimisation
  • Partner with marketing to create thought leadership content and campaigns that attract target clients
  • Drive the acquisition of four to six major multinational clients over three years to become key revenue pillars
Skills and Experience Required
  • Proven experience in B2B business development or sales within consulting, professional services, innovation, or sustainability sectors
  • Confident engaging with senior decision-makers in large, complex organisations
  • Entrepreneurial, proactive, and outcome-focused approach
  • Skilled in developing structured sales processes and leveraging CRM systems
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a consultative mindset
Salary and Benefits
  • Salary: £60K - £70K (flexible) + Bonus
  • Flexible part-time schedule (2-3 days per week)
