About the role:
We are looking for a highly competent, innovative, confident and efficientHead of Marketing and Student Recruitment. This is an exciting role for an ambitious and strategic marketer, with experience of working in the post-16 education sector. The successful candidate will manage a high-performing team who include school liaison, admissions, reception, marketing operations, digital/web/social media and events. The role holder will also manage stakeholder relationships, ensuring strong communication and collaboration; ensure the customer journey from application to enrolment and progression is successful; support the College in being the college of choice.
Key Responsibilities:
- To provide direction and leadership of the Marketing and Student Recruitment department across the college sites at Askham Bryan College and University Centre.
- To position Askham Bryan College as the provider of choice for students, parents, employers and stakeholders through development, and promotion of a high profile and positive brand, using all communication channels to enhance the reputation of the College.
- To design and lead targeted campaigns to meet specific student recruitment and admissions targets and seek to increase growth across all college provision types - further education, adults, apprenticeships, higher education, commercial and international.
- To develop a clear and easily communicable plan of action and strategy, outlining marketing for student and apprenticeship recruitment activity throughout the recruitment cycle across the college.
- To successfully manage the customer journey for students and apprentices
- To provide excellent leadership and management to a team of marketing, student recruitment and admissions professionals, cultivating a positive and supportive culture.
- To lead and manage marketing, design and communications and implement a proactive and responsive marketing strategy across all channels - digital, social, journalistic, broadcast and print.
- To lead on internal communications across the college, providing leadership and oversight and strengthening current delivery.
- To lead on the college Alumni and engage with relevant stakeholders accordingly to develop the Alumni further.
- To lead marketing projects relating to curriculum development, bringing insight and strategic advice to such projects.
- To plan for and co-ordinate College-led events and activities for internal and external stakeholders that enhance the student/stakeholder experience.
- To provide a consistent and positive presentation of the College through delivery of a programme of engaging online and offline content that brings to life the unique identity of the College across its different markets and audiences.
- To work closely with the Head of External Engagement and Executive Projects in supporting the marketing of and arrangements to support marketing and customer engagement for associated strategic priorities.

Start Date: The College operates 2 starter/induction days per month to welcome and onboard new members. These are usually the first Monday and third Wednesday of each month (unless there is a bank holiday).
