The brandUK Construction Week (UKCW) is the UK's largest event for the construction sector, bringing together professionals from across the construction industry. Held at London's Excel and Birmingham's NEC, it showcases the latest innovations, products, and technologies while offering a platform for networking, collaboration, and knowledge sharing. With a range of themed sections, live demonstrations, and expert-led talks, UKCW plays a vital role in driving progress, innovation and sustainability in the sector.
The roleWe are seeking an accomplished Head of Marketing to lead the strategy and execution for two of our flagship B2B exhibitions and digital community. Reporting directly into the Divisional Director, this senior leadership role is central to shaping brand narratives, driving audience acquisition, and delivering measurable growth.
You will oversee a talented team of three, including campaign delivery specialists and content producer, and take ownership of strategy, brand, content and digital marketing initiatives such as an AI-powered newsletter Construction Buzz. Working closely with sales and operations, you will ensure marketing activity builds awareness, drives attendance, and delivers tangible ROI across all channels.

Key responsibilities- Develop and implement integrated marketing strategies across digital, social, partnerships, PR, and on-site activations.
- Drive attendance and engagement from target industry audiences, ensuring strong participation and community growth.
- Monitor and analyse campaign data, evaluate ROI, and adapt strategies in real time for continuous optimisation.
- Manage and optimise marketing budgets to deliver efficiency and measurable returns.
- Safeguard and elevate brand positioning and messaging across exhibitions, conferences, and digital platforms.
- Introduce new tools, channels, and creative approaches, including compliant use of AI, to keep campaigns competitive. Oversee the evolution of Construction Buzz, ensuring engaging, data-informed content and audience growth.
- Manage, mentor, and develop a team of three, fostering a culture of creativity, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Work with the Content producer on conference production strategy, including agenda development, speaker marketing, and audience engagement.
- Support commercial teams with partner and sponsor marketing collateral and promotional campaigns.
- Identify and activate strategic partnerships and media collaborations.
- 8+ years' experience in marketing large-scale B2B events, exhibitions, or conferences.
- Strong commercial acumen, linking marketing activity directly to sales and revenue.
- Proven track record of planning and executing integrated marketing campaigns.
- Expertise in digital marketing: email automation, segmentation, user journey optimisation, and content-led engagement.
- Excellent copywriting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated success in leading, motivating, and developing teams.
- Confident using data and analytics to inform decisions while balancing creativity.
