Job Description
Head of Legal Affairs, EMEA • London, UK

Hybrid schedule (remote Monday & Friday; on site Tuesday Thursday).

Responsibilities
  • Lead and support contract negotiations with strategic partners on complex commercial and technology matters.
  • Lead and support contract negotiations with vendors.
  • Structure, draft, negotiate, and advise on a variety of technology and commercial agreements, including terms governing our advertising technology solutions, platform vendor and data agreements, online terms of service, and other technology agreements.
  • Work closely with internal clients across the business to provide legal support, proactively identify issues, and share potential concerns and solutions to support the commercialization of our products and services.
  • Provide legal support for the company's privacy, data, and security initiatives as they relate to technology and commercial agreements.
  • Help to improve contracting processes and management, including working with other legal team members and outside counsel to localize agreement forms for the EMEA markets.
  • Review, draft, and negotiate vendor agreements for the EMEA markets.
  • Assist with other legal responsibilities for the EMEA markets, including employment, real estate, marketing and regulatory matters.
  • Handle ad-hoc legal projects as requested by senior members of the legal team.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5-8 years of practice in a top law firm and/or in house legal department with relevant transactional experience.
  • Prior technology experience is a plus.
  • Other useful areas of experience include: digital advertising, data/privacy, and intellectual property.
  • Excellent business judgment and ability to assess legal risk while also thinking strategically and providing sound, practical advice under tight deadlines.
  • A proven ability to multitask and set priorities, and a strong work ethic.
  • Natural leadership qualities in being a team player, yet comfortable making decisions and interacting with clients and colleagues at all levels.
  • Status as a qualified UK lawyer.
