An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Head of Legal to join a highly respected and forward-thinking organisation operating across multiple sectors. This is a senior leadership role within a dynamic legal function, responsible for shaping legal strategy, managing risk, and providing expert guidance on a wide range of complex legal and commercial matters.

Job Title: Head of LegalContract: 3 - 6 month contractLocation: BirminghamHourly rate: £700 - £900Working Pattern: Hybrid, 3 days in office and 2 days WFH

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the legal function, providing strategic direction and oversight across all legal matters. Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and the board on legal, regulatory, and governance issues. Oversee the drafting, review, and negotiation of complex commercial contracts and key business agreements. Develop and implement legal policies, processes, and risk management frameworks. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and corporate governance requirements. Manage and mitigate legal risk, supporting business decision-making at a strategic level. Oversee dispute resolution matters and manage relationships with external legal counsel. Lead, mentor, and develop the legal team, fostering a high-performance culture. Stay abreast of legal and regulatory developments, advising the business on potential impacts. Collaborate cross-functionally to support strategic initiatives, transactions, and business growth.
