Senior Officer - Housing Service (Senior Leadership Team position)

This senior role involves leading the Housing Service to ensure efficient day to day service delivery, championing the Consumer Standards Action Plan, managing regulator engagement, overseeing the housing & asset structure review, mobilising new repairs and maintenance contracts, and contributing to the Council's strategic vision as a member of the Senior Leadership Team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the housing service to ensure efficient day to day service delivery.
• Senior Officer Sponsorship for the Consumer Standards Action Plan and ensure the service is inspection ready for 2027.
• Engage with the Regulator of Social Housing.
• Senior Officer Sponsorship for the housing & asset structure review and implementation.
• Support the mobilisation of the new repairs and maintenance contract.
• Serve as a member of the Council's Senior Leadership Team.

Qualifications & Experience

• Previous experience working at a senior level in local government or social housing.
• Experience building positive relationships with stakeholders, including elected members, senior officers, regulators and partner organisations.
• Substantial experience at a senior level in a high profile role within a local authority or similar organisation.

Working Arrangements

The position is predominantly remote; however, attendance at the Council offices or locations within Warwick District may be required on occasion. Travel costs from home to site will be reimbursed by the successful candidate.
