Introduction to Client and Role

Our client is a Dutch Market Access and HEOR consultancy with specialisms in health economic modelling. They are mid-sized and are currently working on an expansion plan to increase the headcount and company profile.

Within this, there modelling team is having a lot of work coming from their big pharma clients and want to bring in a head of department to help lead the function, from training of more junior employees, hands on modelling and business development activities.

This will be a high impact role in a growing company managing a small team, due to this there would be travel to and from the office regularly.

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Health Economic Modelling to lead our health economics team within a dynamic Dutch consultancy. In this role, you will oversee the design, development, and delivery of robust health economic models to support pricing, reimbursement, and market access strategies for pharmaceutical and healthcare clients. You will manage a team of modellers, collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders, and ensure high-quality, evidence-based outputs that drive client success in the Dutch and wider European and international markets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of health economic modellers, fostering professional growth and high performance.
• Develop and oversee health economic models (cost-effectiveness, budget impact, etc.) aligned with client and regulatory requirements.
• Provide strategic input on market access and reimbursement strategies within the Dutch healthcare system.
• Collaborate with clients, internal teams, and external partners to deliver insightful, data-driven solutions.
• Ensure timely, high-quality deliverables while maintaining methodological rigor.

Skills Required

• Experience working adapting, developing, and building from scratch cost-effectiveness and budget-impact models.
• Experience within the oncology sector
• Ability to train and develop junior modellers from graduate level
• Strong expertise in business development and maintaining client relationships
