The OpportunityAre you passionate about the intersection of play and profit? We are looking for a Head of Games to lead our expansion into the fast-paced worlds of Gamification and Real Money Games (RMG).
In this leadership role, you will empower creativity and drive technical innovation. You'll spearhead the development and execution of our gaming strategy-from conceptualising addictive gamified UX for global brands to overseeing the rigorous logic of real-money platforms. You will collaborate with our talented developers, designers, and marketers to create groundbreaking experiences that resonate with audiences and deliver measurable ROI.
Key Responsibilities:- Define the overall vision and strategy for the games department.
- Lead and inspire the games team, fostering a culture of creativity and collaboration.
- Oversee the game development process, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Identify and analyse market trends to ensure our games are competitive and appealing.
- Collaborate with other departments, including marketing and design, to create cohesive gaming experiences.
- Manage team resources effectively, including hiring and mentoring new talent.
- Continuously assess and improve game performance based on user feedback and analytics.
- Proven experience in a game development leadership role, with a strong portfolio of successful games.
- Expertise in game design, programming, and production processes.
- Strong understanding of gaming trends and audience preferences.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to balance creative vision and practical execution.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams and expertise in project management methodologies.
- We're in the process of creating a really cool creative office studio very close to Glasgow Central Station and we want our games team working from this space.
- Initially, working from home or a shared office in Glasgow is a must until the studio is ready to move in.
- Salary is competitive, negotiable and dependent on experience
- Company Bonus: 10-20% of salary once company goals are met or at the company's discretion, which has been paid the past 5 years in a row
- Service Bonus of £1,000 per annum paid into your monthly salary up to 5 years / £5,000
- We operate on a flexible hours system. That means that while your usual hours will be during normal business hours, you have plenty of flexibility within that. Want to take a long lunch break? No worries. Do your best work at 6 am? Go for it.
