Head of FP&A

Robertson Bell is working with a well-known and growing non-profit organisation to recruit a Head of Financial Planning and Analysis on a permanent contract.

This is a newly created role that offers an excellent opportunity for a highly commercial finance professional to leverage their strategic mindset and analytical skills to guide the organisation's growth and enhance financial efficiency.

The Head of Financial Planning and Analysis will be responsible for:

• Analyzing commercial agreements to project financial impact and ensure value for money for the organisation.
• Incorporating financial analysis into negotiations of commercial agreements, collaborating with colleagues across corporate services to secure favorable terms.
• Analyzing the organisation's cost base and working with finance business partners to support strategic decision-making.
• Supporting financial planning and budgeting processes through insightful analysis and reporting.
• Leading a team of two direct reports, providing guidance and supporting their professional development.

The successful candidate will:

• Have significant experience in financial management and FP&A, including cost analysis and risk mitigation.
• Be a CCAB or CIMA qualified accountant.
• Have managerial, mentorship, or supervisory experience.
• Be an excellent communicator, capable of building relationships and influencing senior stakeholders.
• Proficient in MS Excel, handling large data sets regularly.

Ideally, candidates will have experience working in a sizeable organisation with a turnover of approximately £100 million or more.
