Role Responsibilities
  • Provide technical leadership for fleet, driving strategic improvement in reliability, safety, lifecycle cost, and asset performance
  • Act as the technical authority for the fleet, overseeing diagnostics, defect trends, and complex engineering issues
  • Lead the analysis of fleet performance data to identify issues, engineering risks, and long term improvement opportunities
  • Develop and deliver fleet improvement strategies to organisational objectives
  • Set technical standards, maintenance strategies, and engineering best practice across the fleet
  • Lead engagement with OEMs, suppliers and external maintenance providers to resolve high risk issues and influence design or process changes
  • Ensure fleet compliance and safety standards
  • Provide expert technical advice
Do you have what it takes?
  • Extensive technical and mechanical expertise across either vans, HGVs, and/or PSVs, with the ability to operate as a subject matter expert
  • Proven experience in senior fleet, engineering, or technical leadership roles
  • Strong capability in data analysis, performance management and engineering risk assessment
  • Demonstrated experience developing and delivering strategic improvement programmes at fleet or organisational level
  • In depth knowledge of fleet compliance, safety legislation and regulatory standards
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Professional engineering or fleet related qualifications (or equivalent experience)
