The HES-SO Valais-Wallis trains X students and contributes, through research, to economic and social development as well as job creation. Due to the upcoming retirement of the current holder, the HES-SO Valais-Wallis is advertising the position of: Financial Services Manager (100%). You are a recognized and committed individual with several years of successful experience in financial management and controlling and wish to take on a significant new challenge. As a member of the expanded Executive Management, you supervise and coherently manage all financial activities in close collaboration with the Executive Management, actively contributing to the implementation of financial policies and processes. You ensure the management of the service, the leadership and support of the teams, and guarantee services that are appropriately adapted and of high quality.Your profile: You hold a Master's degree in finance and accounting, a diploma as an expert in finance, or an equivalent title, and have confirmed management experience with proven experience in the financial management of a large public institution or a major company. You understand the specificities of an academic institution managed as an autonomous establishment. You comprehend the challenges of digitization and are ready to assist the institution in this change. Independent and responsible, you demonstrate a strong sense of responsibility, and your analytical and synthesis skills are well recognized. You are comfortable in a demanding environment characterized by a significant diversity of higher education institutions. Your leadership is focused on the development of skills for the benefit of an effective working environment. You are a native French or German speaker and possess excellent knowledge of the second official language (C1 level) and good English skills.Your mission: Manage, coordinate, and supervise all financial activities of the HES-SO Valais-Wallis, ensuring compliance with policies, directives, and regulations in force within the institution. Develop and implement financial policies defined with the Executive Management. Guarantee compliance with accounting standards MCH2. Lead and participate in institutional development projects, particularly digital projects. Actively contribute to the processes for management and steering tools as well as services delivered. Maintain a relationship with higher education institutions and central services to advise and support them on finance-related matters. Work closely with relevant services within the HES-SO. Maintain a relationship with the services of the Valais canton. Ensure the efficient management of the service, promoting the development of the team's skills.
