We are transitioning from a start-up to a clinical-stage biotech, aiming to bring our lead program to the clinic within two years. To support this, we are building a development team, with the clinical development program lead playing a central role.

YOUR MISSION

At Eligo Bioscience, we are passionate about developing new drugs to address unmet medical needs. We are advancing our program in moderate to severe acne vulgaris into the clinic and expanding into new disease areas. Our platform has matured, enabling us to form partnerships with pharmaceutical companies and key CROs. We need to monitor and adapt our financial plan to optimize capital use, improve processes, and achieve our KPIs.

This role is a comprehensive financial and corporate position involving operational responsibilities, process design, strategic support, and acting as a business partner to R&D and support functions.

You will be responsible for financial planning, analysis, reporting, and implementing financial tools and processes, bringing a continuous improvement mindset and expertise to other departments.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Finance Management & Operations

• Act as a business partner for all key functions and departments.
• Be the referent for finance-related matters.

Finance Management

• Prepare annual budgets and business plans.
• Monitor and manage cash flow.
• Lead annual closing, audits, and financial statement preparation.
• Ensure fiscal and social tax compliance and oversee filings.

Finance Operations

• Control daily administrative tasks.
• Design and prepare quarterly reports for leadership.
• Prepare reports for external stakeholders.
• Manage R&D tax credits.
• Maintain relationships with external partners.

Corporate Support

• Prepare governance meeting documentation.
• Coordinate legal incentives and update capitalization tables.
• Support CEO in organizing meetings.
• Contribute to strategic initiatives.

Business Excellence

• Ensure tools and processes meet company needs.
• Lead continuous improvement and performance tracking.
• Facilitate strategic planning.
• Manage cross-organizational projects.

• Advanced degree in business, finance, biotech, or engineering (MBA, MSc).
• 5+ years in life sciences or startups, with experience in operations, finance, or consulting; biotech experience preferred.

• Comfort with new technological tools.
