About The Role:

The Head Of Finance & Operations is a senior leadership role responsible for leading the company's financial strategy, performance and governance, while also ensuring operational excellence across the business. As a key member of the Leadership Team, this role will take ownership of the finance agenda, delivering clear insight, strong financial control and measurable impact to support the company's continued growth.

Alongside finance leadership, the role will oversee key operational functions, including Paraplanning and Client Services, ensuring the client journey is efficient, compliant and aligned with the high standards of the organisation.

This individual will play a central role in shaping a scalable, high performing business, driving improvements across financial management, systems and processes, while embedding a culture of accountability, clarity and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities: Financial Strategy, Planning & Performance
  • Develop and deliver the company's financial strategy aligned with growth ambitions and long term objectives.
  • Lead the company's financial management cycle, including budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling to support strategic decision making.
  • Provide clear financial insight and analysis to support decision making at Leadership Team level, including performance tracking and planning.
  • Own and enhance financial and operational KPI frameworks, driving accountability and performance across the business.
  • Drive improvements in business performance through financial analysis, cost management and optimisation.
  • Identify financial risks and opportunities, implementing strategies to protect and strengthen the company's financial position.
  • Oversee the preparation and delivery of accurate and timely financial reporting, including monthly management accounts and board packs.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory, tax and financial reporting requirements, maintaining strong governance and internal controls.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for external accountants, auditors and advisors.
  • Strengthen financial systems, controls and processes to improve accuracy, efficiency and scalability.
  • Support the selection and implementation of finance systems and reporting tools to enhance business insight and decision making.
Operational Oversight & Business Performance
  • Oversee Paraplanning and Client Services functions, ensuring efficient, compliant and high quality support to the teams.
  • Optimise end to end workflows and processes to enhance operational efficiency and overall client experience.
  • Monitor KPIs and ensure alignment between performance and service delivery.
  • Oversee business operations, including facilities, technology and supplier relationships.
  • Ensure robust operational policies, systems and business continuity frameworks are in place to support a scalable organisation.
Leadership & Culture
  • Lead, develop and mentor direct reports, building capability, accountability and high performance.
  • Act as a senior escalation point for financial and operational matters across the business.
  • Collaborate closely with the CEO and Leadership Team to deliver strategic initiatives and business wide transformation.
  • Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration and continuous improvement aligned with Prosperous Financials' values.
Skills And Experience:
  • Relevant third level qualification in Finance, Accounting, Business or a related discipline, with a professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in a senior finance leadership role, ideally within a financial or professional services environment.
  • Strong expertise in financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting and company performance analysis.
  • Commercially astute, with the ability to translate financial data into clear insights that support strategic decision making.
  • Experience strengthening financial controls, improving processes and implementing systems within a growing business.
  • Strong understanding of risk, governance and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop high performing teams, with excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • A proactive, solutions focused mindset, with the ability to operate effectively in a fast paced, evolving environment.
