Job Description
This Head of Finance & Insurance Compliance role offers a rare opportunity to shape regulatory strategy across a large, multi-site organisation where customer outcomes, governance and commercial integrity are central to business success. Working closely with senior leadership, you'll provide the oversight, challenge and expertise needed to ensure regulatory requirements are embedded effectively across the organisation. From driving compliance frameworks and managing regulatory change to influencing key stakeholders, you'll play a pivotal role in protecting reputation, managing risk and supporting sustainable growth. - Lead the development, delivery and continuous improvement of the finance and insurance audit and compliance framework
- Ensure regulatory requirements are implemented consistently across all relevant business functions
- Provide expert advice and guidance to senior stakeholders on regulatory obligations, conduct risk and emerging issues
- Oversee compliance monitoring, reporting, risk identification and escalation activities
- Manage regulatory submissions, notifications, applications and governance reporting requirements
- Support business transformation and operational change programmes by embedding regulatory best practice
- Extensive experience operating within an FCA-regulated environment, ideally covering consumer credit and general insurance
- Strong knowledge of FCA regulations, Consumer Duty requirements and regulatory governance frameworks
- Previous experience leading compliance functions and delivering complex regulatory projects
- Proven ability to develop policies, procedures, management information and regulatory reporting
- Experience working with senior leadership teams, governance committees and regulatory bodies
