Head of Finance

Our client is on an exciting transformation journey - and we're looking for a proactive, forward-thinking Head of Finance (Technical) to help shape our future.

As we prepare for Local Government Reorganisation, you'll play a key role in maintaining strong financial governance and ensuring we're ready for the changes ahead.

What you'll lead

• Technical finance, statutory accounting, and treasury management
• Production of the Statement of Accounts and year-end processes
• Financial compliance, taxation, and audit liaison
• A skilled team covering Technical Finance, Treasury, Insurance, Income & Payments

What you'll bring

• CCAB qualification (CIPFA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
• Strong leadership and people management skills
• Experience delivering high-quality financial services in a complex environment
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities
• Public sector experience (desirable)
