Head of External Reporting

You will provide technical finance leadership for the Group, working closely with stakeholders from FP&A, Tax, Treasury front office, Investor Relations, Communications, and Legal teams. The role is responsible for ensuring compliance with technical accounting standards and Group accounting policies while considering the commercial realities of the business.

Team of 5 direct/indirect reports:

1. Group Treasury Controller
2. Group Accountant - supports the Group Head of External Reporting with technical support, financial statement preparation for annual reports/interims, and SOX controls
3. Assistant Group Accountant - reports to Group Accountant; responsible for reporting on finance/holding entities, statutory accounts, intangible review support, and SOX controls
4. Management Accountant - reports on central overheads, VAT, ONS returns, and SOX controls
5. Assistant Accountant - reports on finance/holding entities, statutory accounts, deferred duty reconciliations, and SOX controls
6. Accounts Assistant - handles payroll accounting and SOX controls

Minimum qualifications and experience:

1. ACA / ACCA qualified accountant with significant FTSE 100/250 audit experience, followed by experience in a FTSE 100/250 Group Finance team
2. Experience with SEC reporting
3. Experience with SOX controls
4. Experience leading or managing a back-office Treasury team (preferred)
