Head of Engineering Operations (Alarms)

Radley Green is partnering a fast-growth Alarms scale-up business based in Leicester to recruit their Head of Engineering Operations.
This role will report into the MD and will manage a team of installation engineers and mentoring service & maintenance engineers. This role is essential in maintaining the high standards of service the business is known for and in driving the successful delivery of all installation projects.
This is a newly created role and will pay £40k-£50k plus bonus and lots of opportunity for progression and development.
Candidates MUST have experience with Fire or Security Alarm systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a small team of installation engineers, ensuring efficient and high-quality installation project delivery against the budget.
- Provide technical support and guidance to all engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
- Oversee the recruitment, training, and professional development of all engineering staff, ensuring the team is well-equipped to meet the demands of our projects.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless project execution and customer satisfaction.
- Develop and implement strategies for profitable project delivery, including cost management and resource allocation.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, technological advancements, and best practices in fire safety and security solutions.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies throughout all engineering activities.
- Participate in key client meetings, offering technical expertise and contributing to business development efforts.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a leadership role within the fire safety or security systems sector.
- Strong technical background and a deep understanding of fire safety and security solutions.
- Excellent management and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a results-driven approach.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
