Head of Engineering and Technical Projects

About The Role

We're looking for an experienced and forward thinking engineering leader to head up our technical projects and engineering strategy across our hospital sites. This is a key role where you'll shape long term engineering plans, ensure safe and efficient environments, and lead the delivery of major infrastructure and refurbishment projects.

This is a remote role with nationwide travel when required.

What you'll be doing

• Leading multi year engineering, asset and decarbonisation strategies.
• Managing major capital and engineering projects from scope to delivery.
• Overseeing engineering operations including PPM, statutory compliance and reactive works.
• Providing technical expertise on HVAC, medical gases, electrical systems and water hygiene.
• Working closely with hospital leaders, engineers and contractors to ensure high quality, safe and compliant project delivery.
• Driving continuous improvement, innovation and best practice across the estate.

What we'll look for in you

With your strong engineering background within the NHS, healthcare or highly regulated environments, you will also have:

• Proven experience delivering large scale capital or engineering projects.
• Deep technical knowledge of hospital systems and statutory compliance (HTMs, CDM, H&S).
• A confident leader with excellent communication, planning and stakeholder management skills.
• Relevant qualifications (HNC/HND/Degree), AP status and safety/project certifications (e.g., PRINCE2, NEBOSH/IOSH).
