Exalto Consulting is partnering with a growing SaaS business that develops software used by global manufacturing and engineering organisations to manage critical operational processes.

With a proven product, established customers and ambitious growth plans, the business is looking for a hands-on engineering leader to help shape its next phase.

This role combines software engineering, technical leadership and strategic influence. you'll contribute code regularly, guide technical direction, mentor a small team of experienced developers and work closely with the Founder to ensure technology continues to support business growth.

What you'll be doing

• Leading the technical direction and architecture of a cloud-based SaaS platform
• Remaining hands-on with development across Back End, Front End and cloud infrastructure
• Writing and reviewing code while maintaining high engineering standards
• Mentoring and supporting a small team of senior developers
• Owning Azure-based infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines and platform reliability
• Delivering integrations with customer and third-party systems
• Helping shape the companys approach to AI-enabled products and tools
• Working closely with business stakeholders to turn ideas into practical solutions

Technology environment includes:

• .NET and C#
• React, JavaScript and TypeScript
• Azure, Azure DevOps and AKS
• GitOps deployment practices
• PowerShell automation
• Python within emerging AI solutions

What we re looking for

• Strong hands-on software engineering experience, ideally within SaaS or product-led environments
• Expertise across .NET, cloud technologies and modern engineering practices
• Experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD and Kubernetes-based deployments
• The ability to balance delivery, scalability and long-term maintainability
• Experience leading or mentoring developers
• Strong communication skills and sound technical judgement
• An interest in AI and its practical application within products and engineering teams
