Leading a muti-million technical services and energy operations business, supporting pharmaceutical, industrial, healthcare and food manufacturing clients nationwide.

Our client is a leading provider of integrated technical and energy services, supporting some of Ireland's most complex and highly regulated industrial environments.

Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Head of Energy Operations to lead a large-scale national operation delivering mission-critical utilities, facilities, and technical services to clients across the pharmaceutical, healthcare, industrial, and food production sectors.

This is a high-profile executive leadership position with full operational and commercial accountability for a significant business unit, managing multiple sites, senior leadership teams, and key client relationships throughout Ireland.

This opportunity is ideally suited to an established Head of Operations, Operations Director, Regional Director, or Business Unit Director who has operated within technical services, engineering services, facilities management, utilities, energy, pharmaceutical manufacturing, or industrial operations environments.

The Opportunity

Part of the executive leadership team, you will take ownership of a large national portfolio, ensuring operational excellence, customer satisfaction, regulatory compliance, commercial performance, and future business growth.

You will lead a substantial workforce through an established management structure while shaping long-term strategy and delivering sustainable growth across existing and emerging sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Full P&L ownership for a significant national operations division
• Lead and develop senior management teams responsible for nationwide service delivery
• Drive operational excellence, customer retention, profitability, and business performance
• Build and maintain executive-level relationships with key clients and stakeholders
• Ensure the highest standards of health, safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance
• Deliver strategic growth initiatives and identify new commercial opportunities
• Support business development activities across pharmaceutical, industrial, healthcare, and food production sectors
• Champion continuous improvement, innovation, and sustainability programmes
• Contribute to executive leadership decision-making and long-term business planning
• Lead organisational change, succession planning, and talent development initiatives

Candidate Profile

We are seeking a proven operational leader who is already operating at Head of, Director, or equivalent level within a complex technical environment.

You will demonstrate:

• Significant experience leading multi-site technical or operational businesses
• Strong commercial acumen with proven P&L responsibility
• Experience managing large, geographically dispersed teams through senior managers
• A track record of delivering growth, operational improvement, and customer excellence
• Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
• Experience within facilities management, engineering services, utilities, energy services, pharmaceutical manufacturing, industrial operations, or related sectors
• Excellent strategic planning and execution capabilities
• Degree qualified in Engineering, Building Services, Energy Management, or a relevant discipline, or equivalent industry experience
