Job Summary Bristol Old Vic Theatre School is seeking an experienced drama director to lead our postgraduate MA in Drama Directing. This is a part-time, fixed-term position until August 2026. Job Description

As Head of Course, you'll manage all aspects of the MA Drama Directing programme, including curriculum delivery, module leadership, assessment and student mentoring. You'll identify and engage visiting practitioners, organise industry liaison opportunities and collaborate with other course leaders to maximise teaching efficiency through cross-curricular collaborations.

The ideal candidate will possess substantial experience of drama directing, a sophisticated understanding of the UK drama industry, higher education teaching experience and strong organisational skills. Experience directing across diverse genres/media and knowledge of the international drama industry are desirable.

Contract: Fixed term (until August 2026), part-time (annualised hours)
Salary: £31,986.90 per annum (£37,420 pro rata)
