Chase Erwin is seeking a visionary, hands-on Head of Design to lead our development teams and elevate our brand through creative innovation, technical excellence, and collaborative leadership. This pivotal role will drive the full product development lifecycle, from concept and design to realization, ensuring that every collection embodies the sophistication, craftsmanship, and creativity for which Chase Erwin is renowned.
This role is based in the Battersea and Chelsea Harbour areas of London, involves regular international travel, and offers flexible/hybrid working arrangements.

Essential Skills and Qualifications- Shape the creative strategy for Chase Erwin and the sign, aligning design vision with brand direction and evolving market trends across interiors and textiles.
- Oversee execution of all design and product development stages - trend research, mill and studio visits, concept creation, fabric selection, prototyping, sampling, and finished product evaluation.
- Collaborate closely with sales, production, and marketing to ensure seamless integration of design concepts with commercial objectives.
- Deliver collections on time and within budget.
- Champion a customer-focused approach by translating market insights into commercially viable products that exceed client expectations.
- Work cross-functionally to optimize product development processes, sustainable practices, and enhance efficiency and ROI.
- Represent the brand at industry events, supplier meetings, and design exhibitions (requiring regular international travel).
- Drive the adoption of innovative materials, finishes, and techniques, maintaining leadership in luxury textile design.
- Significant experience in a leadership design role within the luxury interior textiles or fabric industry.
- Advanced knowledge of woven textile design, material innovation, and development processes.
- Proven ability to create successful, contemporary collections for discerning clients.
- Experience managing complex product development projects from concept to launch within time and budget constraints.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to motivate and lead multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong commercial acumen to balance creativity with business objectives.
- Hands-on approach with meticulous attention to detail and quality.
- Creative thinker passionate about innovation and continuous improvement.
