Head of Corporate Reward
Location: Cheltenham, Gloucestershire (hybrid working)
We are seeking an experienced Head of Corporate Reward to play a pivotal role in shaping, delivering and embedding our Group reward strategy. This is a highly influential role, working across multiple geographies and business units to ensure our reward frameworks are aligned with our Values, business strategy and a strong "customer first" mindset. You will provide expert reward insight, lead key global reward projects, and help develop reward capability across the wider reward and HR community.
Key Responsibilities Reward Strategy & Governance- Support the development and evolution of the Group reward strategy, ensuring policies and processes reflect best practice and drive the Group's strategic goals.
- Ensure alignment between global business unit reward practices and Group reward guidance.
- Support the governance and management of remuneration arrangements for senior leaders.
- Prepare high quality Remuneration Committee papers covering cyclical reward activities and other relevant matters.
- Oversee central governance and guidance for core annual reward cycles, including: Annual pay review & bonus schemes, pay benchmarking, and global pay ranges.
- Lead selected Group reward processes, which may include executive compensation, share plans, international mobility or global pay compliance.
- Develop and deliver clear, transparent reward communications to enhance employee understanding and engagement with reward programmes.
- Collaborate closely with HR and Reward teams globally to build capability, provide guidance and support consistent application of reward frameworks.
- Extensive reward experience in a global organisation, including annual pay reviews, global bonus/incentive plan management, pay benchmarking, and pay range development.
- Experience designing and operating incentive programmes; global incentive experience is advantageous.
- Technical expertise in one of the following: executive remuneration / RemCo management, share plan management, employment taxes / global mobility, and global pay governance and compliance (e.g., EU Pay Transparency Directive, Gender Pay Gap reporting).
- Proven ability to manage senior stakeholders with strong communication skills and a customer focused approach.
- Track record of successfully leading multiple complex, time sensitive projects independently.
- Advanced data handling and interpretation skills, with the ability to translate complex analysis into clear insights (Excel or equivalent tools).
- Leadership: Strong coaching and mentoring skills, able to develop and inspire reward and HR professionals.
- Strategic Thinking: Able to evaluate existing reward programmes and implement strategic enhancements.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Analytical Capability: Robust analytical and problem solving skills, using data to guide decisions.
- Project Management: Highly organised, capable of leading projects from inception to delivery.
- Problem Solving: Anticipates issues and proactively identifies solutions.
- Curiosity & Learning Agility: A growth mindset with a drive for continuous improvement.
- Collaboration: A team player with strong relationship building skills and a positive, "can do" attitude.
