Job Description

Oakleaf are partnering with a leading financial services organisation to hire a Head of Commercial Learning on an initial 9-12 month basis (with a view to going permanent).

This is a high-profile opportunity to join a newly evolving Talent function with strong sponsorship from senior leadership and a genuine mandate for change. The business is investing heavily in modernising its learning capability, commercial effectiveness, and leadership infrastructure following a large-scale integration and wider org transformation.

Reporting into the Director of Talent, the Commercial Learning Manager will manage a team responsible for both business-facing learning and business systems training across the organisation.

This role will suit someone who combines strategic thinking with a highly hands-on approach. While there is a strong consultancy and stakeholder element, the immediate focus is on execution, programme delivery, team leadership, and helping build scalable commercial learning capability within a fast-moving environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Commercial Learning function and manage a multi-disciplinary team
  • Deliver key commercial and growth-focused learning programmes across the business
  • Help design and build a new front-office sales academy, including learning journeys and supporting tools/technology
  • Oversee major learning initiatives linked to commercial capability and systems transformation (SalesForce)
  • Prioritise and coordinate multiple projects to ensure effective delivery
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand learning needs and deliver practical, business-focused solutions
  • Improve learning data, reporting, and dashboards to better demonstrate impact
  • Support the ongoing development and modernisation of the learning function
