What the job looks like
Each day you'll enjoy a variety of challenges, such as:
- Lead and represent the UKINOR Commercial Excellence (ComEx) team, ensuring efficient delivery of outcomes and strong alignment with the global ComEx agenda
- Challenge local strategies and act as a change agent, driving performance management and continuous commercial improvement
- Develop and implement commercial excellence strategies, leveraging deep knowledge of UKINOR healthcare systems, customer needs, and market dynamics
- Oversee field force effectiveness across UKINOR, embedding structured account planning methodologies and frameworks, ensuring consistent use of account plan templates, and driving adoption of customer and account segmentation and targeting practices
- Ensure proactive maintenance and optimisation of customer lists and CRM data, adapting processes to business needs, and enabling accurate, up-to-date information for decision-making
- Implement and track the effectiveness of segmentation and targeting efforts, linking outcomes to field performance and refining approaches through impact analysis
- Drive ROI measurement and reporting for all field force initiatives, ensuring transparency of outcomes and supporting investment decision-making
- Partner with cross-functional teams to align commercial strategies with business priorities and deliver measurable results
- Lead the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process to connect strategy, resources, and performance delivery
- Oversee Business Intelligence and commercial analysis, ensuring actionable insights through tools such as DOMO, dashboards, and market research
- Support local teams in business development, due diligence, and market research by gathering best-in-class insights and liaising with external business partners
- Strengthen commercial capabilities across field teams and office-based roles through tailored training, coaching, and development programmes
- Drive omnichannel excellence by localising global content, managing digital platforms (CRM, websites, Sitecore, SFDC), and ensuring effective campaign execution
What you'll bring to the table
To make the most of this role and truly thrive, you should have:
- University degree in life sciences, business administration, or equivalent
- Proven track record of success and experience in pharmaceutical business environment
- Experience in commercial leadership roles in pharmaceuticals
- Knowledge of relevant national and international regulatory requirements and guidelines and pharmaceutical processes
- Experience in leading & developing people and building effective working relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders
- Understanding of pharmaceutical market data and structures
- Strong understanding of the UK pharmaceutical market
- Communication skills and business acumen
- Strong ethical behaviour
- Capability to challenge status quo and established beliefs
- Capacity to influence and onboard teams across geographies
- Capacity to challenge business managers on the level of their ambition and achievements
- Forecasting skills, including patient level forecasting but also bottom-up forecast management
