As Head of Civil Engineering, you will act as the global functional leader for civil engineering within Heineken. You will lead a team of five professionals and be responsible for the civil scope of all capital projects above €1 million worldwide, representing an annual budget of €200-300 million. You will contribute to safe design practices, drive innovation in construction technologies, and strengthen our global network of civil engineering experts.
What will you do?- Leading and developing the Civil Engineering & Integration team
- Overseeing the civil scope of global capital projects
- Ensuring safe design planning and supporting contractor safety assessments
- Managing Engineering Service Providers for conceptual and basic design
- Coordinating detailed engineering and execution within multidisciplinary teams
- Driving innovation in digital construction technologies
- Maintaining and aligning the global civil engineering expert network
- Facilitating the development of Centres of Excellence
We are looking for a strategic and experienced leader who excels in stakeholder management and team leadership. You have a strong technical background in civil engineering and bring international experience that enables you to navigate complex environments with confidence. Further, you understand how to build relationships across diverse teams and cultures, and you know how to lead with vision and clarity in a global context.
You bring:
- A master degree in civil or construction engineering
- 13+ years of relevant work experience, preferably in a multinational or consultancy
- Expertise in capital project excellence, supplier management, and finance
- Strong communication and influencing skills
- An innovative mindset, helicopter view, and ability to drive change
- Fluency in English (spoken and written)
