We're currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Head of CIB Registrations and Licensing
The purpose of this role is to ensure all client-facing staff across corporate and institutional banking are appropriately licensed, registered, and certified to meet both local and global regulatory requirements. You will be integral to interpreting complex regulatory requirements, ensuring robust controls and procedures are in place, and supporting the business in meeting its regulatory obligations efficiently and effectively.

Key ResponsibilitiesIn this role you'll:
- Be responsible for the strategic oversight and operational management of all individual licensing and registration requirements for Corporate and Institutional Banking, Markets and Securities Services (CIB MSS) globally
- Oversee and continuously improve controls, procedures, and documentation for all licensing and registration activities, including renewals, revisions, new applications, annual refreshes, and authority letter approvals
- Work closely with senior stakeholders across CIB, Compliance, Business Risk, and Technology, acting as the subject matter expert for all matters relating to staff licensing, registration, and certification
- Play a key leadership role in the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the new CIB MSS Licensing and Registrations Management system
- Develop, implement, and maintain a central global register of staff licenses, registrations, and certifications, ensuring data integrity and accessibility
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- Significant expertise in individual licensing, registration, or certification management within a global financial institution with a deep understanding of regulatory regimes relevant to corporate and institutional banking
- Proven track record of leading teams and managing complex, multi-jurisdictional processes
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
- Experience in process design, control frameworks, and system implementation is highly desirable
- Demonstrated commitment to HSBC's values and leadership behaviours
