Head of Building Control

Our client, a leading organisation in the buildings sector, is currently seeking a Head of Building Control to join their team on a contract basis. This role at the forefront of building regulation and compliance will play a critical part in ensuring the safety and integrity of various building projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Overseeing all aspects of building control within the region
• Ensuring compliance with relevant building regulations and standards
• Managing and mentoring a team of building control officers
• Reviewing building designs and plans to ensure they meet Class 4 specifications
• Conducting site inspections and assessments
• Developing and implementing building control policies and procedures
• Liaising with contractors, architects, and other stakeholders
• Providing technical advice and guidance on building control matters

Job Requirements:

• Extensive experience in building control or a related field
• Class 4 certificationStrong knowledge of building regulations and compliance standards
• Proficiency in reviewing and assessing building plans and designs
• Excellent leadership and team management skills
• Ability to conduct thorough site inspections and assessments
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Relevant qualification in building control or a related discipline
