Job Description

Great opportunity to set up Building Information Modelling procedures, strategy, and operating model structures for this rapidly growing UK business.

  • All roles are expected to have the relevant competency skills cards where site-based work is required.
  • Experience and knowledgeable in BIM, preferably integration of it into a project environment.
  • Expert knowledge of model management principles.
  • Preferably several years of experience implementing BIM in the construction industry.
  • Good 3D technical proficiency.
  • Coaching 3D (and 4D) skills to others.
  • Competent in use of Common Data Environments.
  • Self-motivated and able to take responsibility.
  • Knowledge of ISO 19650.
  • OPERAM Licence Completion ADVANCED Pathway.
  • PAS1192.
  • Presentation Skills.
  • CDM Regulations.
  • Knowledge of MS Office - Intermediate.
STRABAG - More than just a construction company
  • Responsible for setting up Building Information Modelling procedures, strategy, and operating model structures for the STRABAG UK business and various components of large infrastructure projects.
  • Leading and mentoring the BIM project team and acting as point of contact for BIM specialists.
  • Ensuring compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO 19650) and project-specific requirements, maintaining quality assurance processes for BIM deliverables.
  • Coordination of the development of the STRABAG UK BIM environment and coordination with the Information Management team.
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest BIM technologies and practices, exploring new tools and solutions to enhance BIM capabilities.
  • Providing BIM training and workshops on both project and non-project bases to internal and external team members on BIM processes, tools, and project requirements.
  • Working in international and dynamic project teams, leading the BIM integration of all project disciplines.
  • Collaborating with the estimation team, construction execution, designers, modellers, and schedulers towards integration of relevant information into the models and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Liaising with the client's BIM team and other external BIM teams.
  • Promotion and communication of best practices.
  • Identifying BIM trends and business opportunities.
  • Understanding building regulations and planning permission processes.
  • Job familiarisation with internal Group's BIM function.
