Purpose of the Role

The Head of Data & AI will be responsible for establishing and leading FutureRange's newly created Data and AI Division. This division will develop, implement, and manage data-driven and AI-enabled solutions for both clients and internal operations.

The successful candidate will define FutureRange's AI strategy, shape new service offerings, and ensure these capabilities are delivered securely, responsibly, and in alignment with the company's broader vision to become a Managed Intelligence Provider. This is a senior leadership role with strategic, technical, and commercial dimensions.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategy and Leadership: Define and execute FutureRange's Data and AI strategy, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and service portfolio.
• Capability Development: Build the AI and data function, including frameworks, methodologies, and service lines (e.g. AI Readiness, AI Implementation, Data Governance, Agent Building, Managed Intelligence).
• Solution Design and Delivery: Oversee the design, deployment, and management of AI and data solutions for clients, ensuring seamless integration with Microsoft and partner technologies.
• Partnerships and Ecosystem Management: Collaborate with Microsoft and other strategic partners to leverage their AI and data platforms effectively.
  Governance and Compliance: Ensure all AI initiatives adhere to data privacy, ethics, and cybersecurity best practices, in line with ISO 27001, DORA, and GDPR.
• Innovation and Internal Enablement: Champion the adoption of AI across FutureRange's business operations to improve efficiency, reporting, and service quality.
• Thought Leadership and Client Engagement: Represent FutureRange as a trusted advisor on AI transformation, contributing to events, panels, and client strategy forums.
• Commercial Contribution: Support revenue growth through the creation of new AI-driven service offerings, engagement models, and recurring managed services.

Key Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in AI strategy, data analytics, or digital transformation leadership, ideally within a Managed Service Provider, technology consultancy, or enterprise environment.
• Strong understanding of the Microsoft AI ecosystem (Copilot, Azure OpenAI, Fabric, Power Platform, M365) and its commercial application within business environments.
• Expertise in data architecture, governance, and compliance, including frameworks such as GDPR, ISO 27001, and DORA.
• Demonstrated ability to design and implement AI use cases that deliver measurable business outcomes.
• Experience building and leading multidisciplinary teams (data engineers, AI specialists, analysts, consultants).
• Commercial acumen and an ability to translate technology innovation into scalable service offerings and recurring revenue.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of engaging at Board and executive client levels.
• Awareness of AI ethics, risk management, and emerging regulatory requirements within the EU and UK.
