Head Chef

Location: Within 20 miles of Newton Abbot

Rate: £16 per hour

Contract: Friday 31 July - 22 October (with opportunities for further work afterwards)

We are looking for an experienced and reliable Head Chef to lead our kitchen on a busy film catering production. This is an exciting opportunity for a confident chef who thrives in a fast paced environment and enjoys creating varied, high quality meals each day.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a small kitchen team of 3.
• Plan and prepare daily menus.
• Cook approximately 100 covers per day, including: Full cooked breakfast; Three freshly prepared lunch options (meat, fish, and vegan).
• Produce a different lunch menu each day.
• Cater for all dietary requirements and allergens.
• Manage food ordering and stock control.
• Maintain cleaning schedules and high kitchen hygiene standards.
• Work effectively in an open kitchen, providing excellent communication and customer service.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Head Chef with a strong background in a variety of cuisines.
• Ability to lead and motivate a small team.
• Strong menu planning and organisational skills.
• Excellent knowledge of food allergens and dietary requirements.
