Handyperson

RGB Recruitment is seeking a Handyperson for a construction site in Newton Abbot, offering a full-time contract with a pay rate of £19 to £23 per hour via Umbrella. The role involves filling concrete holes, preparing spaces for other trades, and performing temporary carpentry such as formwork and doors. General site duties as directed by management are also required. Candidates must have at least two years of handyman experience, a valid CSCS card (Green or Blue, trade card preferred), and a basic toolkit for carpentry or bricklaying. BPSS clearance and a basic DBS certificate are necessary, either held or arranged prior to starting.

Responsibilities

• Fill holes in concrete.
• Prepare work areas for other trades.
• Temporary carpentry including formwork and temporary doors.
• General site duties as instructed by site management.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of handyman experience.
• Valid CSCS card (Green or Blue, trade card preferred).
• Basic carpentry or bricklaying toolkit.
• BPSS clearance (must be in place or in progress before starting).
• Basic DBS certificate (must already be held or willing to apply before starting).

Pay

• Standard rate: £19.00 per hour via Umbrella.
• Up to £23.00 per hour via Umbrella for highly experienced candidates with a relevant trade CSCS card.
