Handyman / Handy personLocation: Gillingham, KentPay Rate: £14.11 per hour PAYE (paid weekly via Pertemps)Contract Type: Temporary AssignmentDuration: 09 August 2026 to 04 October 2026Working Hours: 09:00 - 17:00, shifts Monday to Sunday (Weekend Availability Required) Pertemps are currently recruiting for a Handyman to join a busy and customer-focused accommodation and facilities environment in Gillingham, Kent on a temporary assignment from 09/08/2026 until 04/10/2026.This role would suit candidates with experience as a Hanyperson, Handyman, Facilities Assistant, Maintenance Operative, Caretaker, Building Services Operative, Facilities Operative, Property Maintenance Technician, Site Assistant or General Maintenance Operative.Handyman Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across the site.
• Complete routine building inspections and maintenance checks.
• Undertake general building repairs and maintenance work
• Repair and maintain doors, windows and associated fixtures.
• Support emergency building repairs and seasonal project work.
• Diagnose faults, carry out repairs and escalate issues where necessary.

Handyman Skills & Experience Required

• Basic joinery and carpentry skills.
• Basic plastering skills, including repairing holes and wall damage.
• Basic domestic plumbing experience.
• Basic knowledge of using hand and electrical tools.
• Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
