This role requires a team player with flair and commercial ability, skill, energy and determination to help drive and develop the business alongside the General Manager. We are looking for a manager with experience of maintaining and developing the standards and reputation, while nurturing a growing membership base and team.

Responsibilities

• Operate the gym at all times. Open and close the site as required by operational hours.
• Work early mornings, late weekdays, and weekends as needed.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety policies and company procedures.
• Maintain JD Gyms Brand Standard.
• Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly safety checks; report and chase all defects to keep the building and equipment safe.
• Achieve all sales and membership targets set.
• Drive and maximize secondary spend revenue.
• Keep the gym facility at the highest cleanliness standards, maintaining cleaning outside contract hours.
• Ensure in-house cleaners (General Assistant) meet cleaning standards.
• Maintain uniform standards for all team members and yourself.
• Foster an enjoyable environment for the team and contracted personnel.
• Perform any other reasonable duties, projects, or meetings as required.
• Represent JD Gyms as an ambassador at all times.

Qualifications and Experience

• Experience in a management position within the leisure industry.
• Passion for customer service and inspirational leadership.
• Qualified to at least Level 2 Gym Instructor.
• Experience driving sales and coordinating local marketing activities and managing a successful team.
• Preferred: Experience as Assistant Manager overseeing all business areas of a leisure facility, or substantial experience as Fitness Manager or similar operational function.
