Job Description
Overview

Vodafone is building a better future. A more connected, inclusive and sustainable world. As a dynamic global community, our human spirit, together with technology, empowers us to achieve this. We challenge and innovate to connect people, businesses, and communities across the world. Delighting our customers and earning their loyalty drive us, and we experiment, learn fast and get it done, together. With us, you can be truly yourself and belong, share inspiration, embrace new opportunities, thrive, and make a real difference.

At Vodafone, Tax goes far beyond the numbers. As a major investor, taxpayer and employer, Vodafone makes significant contributions to the economies of all the countries in which we operate. Our Tax team is an essential partner to our business, analysing data via technology to ensure compliance and reporting, working hand-in-hand with the business to help drive success, and advising on the tax impacts of M&A and our continued transformation.

What you'll do and the experience you gain from the Tax Graduate Programme is about developing your skills, community, and opportunities to create positive impact.

Responsibilities
  • Leverage Analytical Expertise: Use your analytical and technology skills to uncover valuable business insights, supporting smart data-driven solutions for compliance, reporting and commercial advisory services.
  • Strategic Partnering: Work closely with teams across the business, providing senior leaders and stakeholders with the tax guidance and expertise they need to succeed.
  • Explore a Range of Tax Roles: Gain hands-on experience across a variety of tax functions that will allow you to discover areas where you thrive while developing versatile, transferable skills.

You'll have the chance to develop a breadth of skills giving you a firm foundation to build a career in tax. You could find yourself rotating across teams including:

  • M&A and structuring tax
  • Tax compliance
  • Tax controversy
  • Tax reporting
  • Tax technology
  • Transfer pricing
  • VAT
What's in it for You?

Vodafone supports a balanced, wellbeing-focused work environment with a flexible approach. You'll have time at our London Paddington office and from home. Beyond rotations within tax, you'll be part of a wider community across Vodafone with opportunities to join committees and societies that let you explore your passions and make an impact beyond your day-to-day role.

  • £32,000 salary plus an annual performance bonus
  • £1,000 sign-on bonus - just because we're excited to have you!
  • 28 days of paid holiday + 5 days to volunteer for causes you care about
  • Three 'Spirit' days per year to focus on your learning & development
  • Discounts on Vodafone's devices, broadband, and more
  • Flexible benefits - think gym memberships, travel loans, and more
  • An investment in your future through sponsorship of your CIMA (FLP pathway) and/or tax qualification. Vodafone will fully sponsor your CIMA qualification during your three-year programme, enabling you to gain a prestigious certification while you develop your career in finance.
What we're looking for
  • 2:1 in your chosen degree (achieved or predicted). Preferable degrees with an analytical, numeric or data focus, include Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Data, or Science.
  • Recently graduated - i.e., a bachelor's or master's obtained or to be obtained between June 2024 and August 2026.
  • At least ABB at A-level with an A or A in mathematics.
  • You must also have the correct right to work documentation in place for the full programme duration. We do not accept the Graduate Route Visa.
  • You must have an interest in working in tax evidenced via your CV and/or cover letter.

Duration: Three years, during which Vodafone will fully sponsor your CTA tax qualification.

Location: London, Paddington HQ. Our hybrid working approach means you'll come to the office as and when needed, with the rest of your time working from home. As a guide, you can expect to be in the office 8 days a month.

Application Deadline: 30th November 2025, but we might close early if we receive standout applications. So, don't wait!
