About the role

The Group IT Governance Specialist will report to the Group IT and Digital Innovation Director and will support the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Group IT Operating Model. This role also includes overseeing budget and vendor management processes at the Group level.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the re-engineering of IT processes (e.g., Project Portfolio Management, Incident Management, Service Request Management, etc.).
  • Acting as the internal Product Owner of the ITSM platform, providing guidance on best practices and standardization in the implementation and use of IT processes within the tool.
  • Assisting in the definition of policies, processes, standards, and guidelines using best practice frameworks, while reviewing current approaches and suggesting improvements.
  • Supporting the Group IT and Digital Innovation Director in developing, submitting, and administering the department's budget.
  • Managing all operational tasks related to IT Financial and Vendor Management.
  • Acting as the primary point of contact between the IT Department and the Finance Team (AFC - Administration, Finance and Controlling) on financial matters, including budgeting, forecasting, actuals, financial reporting, and IT cost accounting.
  • Tracking, monitoring, and reporting IT expenditures to ensure adherence to the budget and pursuing corrective actions as needed.
  • Preparing financial and analytical reports, spreadsheets, and charts within defined deadlines.
  • Assisting the Group IT and Digital Innovation Director in negotiating and drafting contracts/agreements with vendors and suppliers.
  • Acting as the main point of contact within the IT Department for all vendor-related matters in collaboration with Procurement, Finance, and Legal (e.g., contracts, purchase orders, negotiations, vendor/service selection, performance monitoring, compliance, invoice approvals, and payments).
  • Supporting the approval process of vendor and supplier invoices.



Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role within an IT Governance function.
  • A university degree in Management Engineering, Economics, STEM, IT-related.
  • Solid knowledge of IT standards and frameworks (e.g., ITIL, COBIT), with proven experience in analyzing and synthesizing complex financial and vendor-related issues.
  • Familiarity with IT Management processes and hands-on experience with at least one ITSM platform (e.g., Atlassian, ServiceNow).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft tools, especially Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, charts), and PowerPoint.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • A self-starter with autonomy, creativity, and tenacity.
  • A collaborative and resilient team player.
  • Strong execution skills, attention to detail, and a sense of urgency.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to analyse contracts and reports and develop reporting systems.
  • Languages required: Italian (mother tongue), English (professional proficiency both written and spoken), French is a plus.


Location and travel requirements

This position is based in Milan, Italy.

The candidate should be flexible and able to accommodate occasional travel.
