Job Description

Our client is a well-established, privately owned organisation with operations across Ireland and the UK. Operating within an engineering-led manufacturing and construction installation environment, the business is currently entering a period of continued growth and development.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Group Head of Quality to provide strategic leadership and oversight of the company's Quality function across all manufacturing locations and projects. The successful candidate will ensure the highest standards of quality are consistently achieved in the design, manufacture, and installation of precast concrete facades.

This position will be responsible for developing and implementing a group-wide quality strategy, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring compliance with all relevant industry standards, certifications, and regulations.

Key Responsibilities Leadership & Strategy
  • Develop, lead, and implement the Group Quality Strategy, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Provide visible leadership and direction to Quality teams across all sites and projects.
  • Embed a culture of quality excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement across the organisation.
Quality Systems & Compliance
  • Oversee the maintenance and continual improvement of national and international accreditations (e.g. ISO, BES, etc.) and other relevant quality management systems.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry codes, and client specifications.
  • Establish and maintain standardised quality processes and procedures across all group operations.
Operational Quality Management
  • Monitor quality performance across design, production, and installation phases of concrete facade projects.
  • Lead root cause analysis, non-conformance management, and corrective/preventive action processes.
  • Ensure materials, workmanship, and finished products consistently meet specified standards.
  • Implement robust inspection and testing regimes at all project stages.
Continuous Improvement
  • Drive lean and best-practice initiatives to enhance quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
  • Analyse performance metrics and present reports to the Executive Team and Board.
  • Introduce innovative methods and digital tools to improve quality monitoring and assurance.
Stakeholder & Client Engagement
  • Act as the senior point of contact for quality matters with clients, contractors, and regulators.
  • Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure cross-functional alignment.
  • Provide expert advice and technical guidance on quality issues at both strategic and operational levels.
Team Development
  • Lead, mentor, and develop quality managers and teams across the Group.
  • Build a high-performing, skilled, and collaborative quality workforce.
  • Provide training and awareness initiatives to enhance quality culture at all levels of the business.
Key Requirements Essential
  • Significant experience in a senior quality leadership role within precast concrete, facades, or a related construction/manufacturing sector.
  • Strong knowledge of concrete technology, facade systems, and quality assurance processes.
  • Proven track record of managing ISO-certified quality management systems.
  • Excellent leadership, influencing, and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with the capability to drive change.
  • Experience working across multiple sites and projects, with flexibility to travel as required.
Desirable
  • Chartered Engineer or equivalent professional status.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing or other continuous improvement methodologies.
