Salary: £43,680 per annum plus bonus

Role Overview:

The Group, Conference, and Events (GCE) Planning Manager oversees large event planning, working closely with the GCE Sales Manager to develop customer relationships and drive revenue. Responsibilities include:

  • Maximize GCE revenue opportunities
  • Review business plans and identify gaps
  • Contribute to hotel sales strategies
  • Monitor market trends and stay competitive
  • Conduct weekly booking audits
  • Develop the GCE sales team in customer service, selling techniques, and contract management
  • Manage team career development and succession planning
  • Organize promotional activities
  • Conduct post-event meetings

Candidate Profile:

Ideal candidates will have managerial experience in hotel reservations or events sales, strong leadership, analytical skills, excellent selling and organizational abilities, resilience, and flexibility. Knowledge of property management systems and prior relevant experience are advantageous.
