Day-to-day of the role:

• Lead strategic initiatives and promote a positive information culture in alignment with the Greater Manchester Information Strategy.
• Champion compliance with data protection laws and implement best practices across the organisations.
• Engage with senior leaders and national stakeholders on key regional projects, fostering innovation in information and data governance.
• Drive transformational programs that enhance the use and governance of data within the region.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven leadership experience in Information and Data Governance and Data Protection.
• Strong technical expertise in data protection legislation, Freedom of Information (FOI), Environmental Information Regulations (EIR), and wider information best practices.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with diverse stakeholders, including local authorities and government bodies.
• Collaborative mindset with a focus on adaptability and fostering an inclusive and ethical working environment.
