Purpose of RoleTo assist the Head of AFC Advisory & Operations by managing and overseeing the AFC Risk & Control Framework across the Group and the response to and resolution of escalated queries by the Senior AFC Analyst. To provide pragmatic and proportionate solutions to client/regulatory/legal requirements and to oversee the implementation of changes identified through updates to policy through collaboration with key stakeholders. Responsibilities Subject Matter Expert AFC Advisory Subject Matter Expert - maintain knowledge of appropriate policy requirements for AML, Sanctions, CT&PF, ABC & AMS, Maintain professional membership of the International Compliance Association and undertake the required Continued Professional Development each year, Risks & Controls Maintain AML, Sanctions, CT&PF, ABC & AMS training and awareness content, Respond to errors/breaches ensuring remedial steps are undertaken by required parties, Oversee the review and updating of wording in firm wide documentation, and Provision of advisory specific information across all reporting/insight deliverables. Legal Activities Review of escalated wording in legal agreements (e.g., IMA's, Distribution Agreements, and other contracts). Business Plans Develop internal team business plans and be responsible for specific deliverables. Change Internal horizon scanning on new initiatives for any AFC risk/impact, Lead/oversee the analysis and implementation of policy / AFC changes across the group framework, Review the output of regulatory censure/guidance and industry developments, consider the impact to the Group and take action as appropriate whilst reporting this accordingly, and Keep up to date with industry developments/technology in risk and control management techniques and contribute to the ongoing development and enhancement of the firm's risk and control framework. Client Activities (internal and external) Lead the design and implementation of controls to meet evolving client requirements, Provide rapid decision making to meet business and department needs, handling conflicting requirements of business vs regulatory obligations, Prioritise BAU and strategic work items, taking decisions for re-prioritising and/or de-prioritising work items, Develop and maintain relationships across the AFC framework to ensure communication channels are effective, Engage with external third parties as required/requested, and Manage reporting to internal committees, boards, groups and department heads on applicable matters and attend meetings where required. Your Knowledge and experience: Anti-Financial Crime knowledge and experience built over several years within the Financial Services industry. Qualifications: ICA Diploma in AML (or equivalent) Appropriate Financial Crime expertise and a qualification from the International Compliance Association, such as an AML Diploma or equivalent (essential) The type of candidate that we're looking for: Specific and relevant Anti-Financial Crime experience covering Anti-Money Laundering, Sanctions, Countering Terrorist and Proliferation Financing, Anti-Modern Slavery, and Anti-Bribery & Corruption.
