You'll be joining a diverse, friendly, and passionate team committed to building a high-performing finance function at Secret Escapes. Expect spontaneous trivia, top tier office snacks, and a flexible working culture that reflects our modern approach to finance.

In this role, you'll be a key support to both the Finance team and the wider business - contributing to Group accounting processes and ensuring effective management of our Group accounting system, NetSuite.

  • Assisting with year end accounts and audits for Group subsidiaries
  • Owning and managing key Group wide processes, including intercompany recharges and reconciliations, lease accounting, and intangible asset reporting
  • Contributing to the month end close, with responsibility for balance sheet reconciliations and preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Preparing information for subsidiary VAT returns and ensuring compliance across jurisdictions
  • Providing ad hoc financial analysis and supporting projects that drive improvement and insight across the finance function

You will bring

  • A solid academic background and strong technical knowledge of IFRS
  • Proven experience preparing statutory accounts and supporting audits
  • Familiarity with foreign entities and multi currency group consolidations
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts clearly and effectively to colleagues at all levels and external partners
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, with the confidence to work efficiently with large data sets and complex models

And you are

  • Qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA)
  • Someone who is keen to have real ownership within a business
  • A technically confident team player with excellent communication skills
  • A self-starter who can deliver high quality outputs independently
  • Pragmatic and commercially aware, with excellent attention to detail
