• Hours: 45 hours per week
• Working Hours: 07:30 - 17:30
• Rate: £32 per hour
• Overview: We are currently recruiting for an experienced Civil Operative (Groundworker) to support works on a National Grid substation project at Upper Boat.

This role is suited to candidates with proven experience working within high voltage environments and delivering groundworks on infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out general groundworks on a live substation site.
• Operate a 360 excavator (up to 10T) including lifting operations.
• Work in line with site safety procedures and National Grid requirements.
• Support the delivery of civil works within programme and quality standards.
• Maintain a safe and tidy working environment at all times.

Essential Requirements:

• National Grid Competent Person / NSI 8 (Full authorisation).
• CPCS or NPORS certification for 360 Excavator (up to 10T with lifting operations).
• Previous experience on National Grid or similar HV substation projects.
• Full PPE prior to attending site.

Additional Information: This role is classified as inside IR35; payment via limited company is not permitted. Candidates must meet all essential criteria to be considered.
