Grounds Maintenance Operative/General Handy Person

Morgan Hunt have a unique opportunity for a large public sector organisation, Outdoors in Summer, Indoors in Winter!

A large public sector organisation based in Inverness is recruiting for a mixed Grounds Maintenance & Handyman role - a varied and rewarding position for someone who enjoys working outdoors in the warmer months and turning their hand to practical indoor tasks during the winter season.

This is an ideal opportunity for a reliable, hands on individual looking for long term prospects within a stable and respected organisation.

Key Responsibilities During Spring & Summer (Grounds Maintenance)

• Grass cutting and lawn care
• Hedge trimming and pruning
• General gardening and estate upkeep
• Maintaining paths, borders, and outdoor areas to a high standard

During Autumn & Winter (Handyman / Estate Duties)

• Basic repairs and maintenance across the estate
• Painting, patching, and minor building works
• Assisting with room setups and general facilities support
• Ensuring the estate remains safe, tidy, and operational

What We're Looking For

• Practical, hands on experience in grounds maintenance or gardening
• Confidence carrying out basic handyman / maintenance tasks
• Ability to work independently and as part of a wider estates team
• A positive, flexible attitude to a varied role
• Full UK driving licence preferred

Desirable (but not essential)

• PA1 & PA6 spraying qualifications
• Previous experience in a similar mixed estates or facilities role
