Grounds Maintenance Operative

Location: Knutsford, WA16 9EU

Hours: 40 per week

Contract: Permanent

Key Responsibilities

• Lawn mowing and turf maintenance
• Hedge cutting, pruning, shrub maintenance
• Flowerbed, woodland, and wildflower area upkeep
• Weed control and herbicide application
• Basic landscaping works
• Leaf clearance, litter picking, and gritting duties
• Operating and maintaining grounds machinery and tools
• Supporting biodiversity and estate presentation standards
• Professional and personal conduct

Qualifications & Competencies

• Previous experience in grounds maintenance, horticulture, landscaping or estate maintenance
• RHS/NVQ Horticulture qualification or equivalent practical experience preferred; PA1 & PA6a desirable
• Physically fit for a physically challenging position
• Confidence in using mowers, strimmers, hedge cutters, and ground equipment
• Positive attitude with willingness to learn and develop
• Full UK driving licence (no more than 6 points)
